Baseball Season!
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL game broadcasts, already available to SIRIUS XM RADIO subscribers on satellite radio receivers, will now also be streamed online as part of SIRIUS XM's Internet Radio streaming package and smartphone app under a new multi-year agreement with MLB ADVANCED MEDIA, L.P. Games have been available directly from MLB online ("Gameday Audio") and through MLBAM's MLB At Bat app for several seasons as a stand-alone package.
"We're thrilled to be able to deliver every MLB game to all of our SIRIUS XM subscribers," said SIRIUS XM President and Chief Content Officer SCOTT GREENSTEIN. "Throughout the sport's history, fans have connected with America's pastime through radio calls. With those broadcasts now available on SIRIUS XM Internet Radio, coupled with the satellite radio broadcasts on XM, SIRIUS XM subscribers across the country have the most extensive audio listening experience with which to follow any MLB team from their cars, homes or anywhere."
"SIRIUS XM has been a valuable partner in connecting its subscribers with the tradition of baseball on the radio and this agreement adds an important distribution platform, alongside our own products including Gameday Audio and At Bat, for fans to enjoy listening to the radio broadcasts of Major League Baseball games via the Internet," said MLBAM SVP, Business Development KENNY GERSH.
