GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Chicago Blackhawks got the rousing start they wanted Saturday night. Then they got themselves in trouble, and they're already shaking things up to get out of it.

After an early power-play goal, the Hawks find themselves down 2-1 to the Coyotes after one period in Game 2 at Jobing.com Arena and coach Joel Quenneville found himself doing some serious line-juggling.

The Hawks came out with jump, firing seven shots on Coyotes goalie Mike Smith in the first three minutes and that fire paid off. Bryan Bickell whacked in a mid-air rebound off a Dave Bolland shot for a power play score and a 1-0 lead at the 3:05 mark.

Pressure continued to be applied without any results, and the Coyotes soon started setting the pace. The equalizer came after Shane Doan thoroughly outmuscled Hawks defenseman Duncan Keith behind the net, feeding Raffi Torres for a top-shelf one-timer and a 1-1 tie at the 8:52 mark.

A couple minutes later, Jonathan Toews' failure to corral a cross-ice Patrick Kane pass turned into a tough goaltender interference charge against the Hawks captain. And that turned into a Coyotes power play score, with Antoine Vermette redirecting a Keith Yandle blast for the 2-1 lead at 13:44.

Soon thereafter, Quenneville started mixing and matching lines. Kane returned to center, flanked by Marian Hossa and Andrew Brunette. And Toews took over duties centering Patrick Sharp and Viktor Stalberg, shuttling Marcus Kruger down to the fourth line.

The Hawks made only one lineup change for Game 2: Defenseman Sami Lepisto got the nod while veteran blue-liner Sean O'Donnell, who was a minus-2 in Game 1, went to the bench.
