Kansas is coming in off a 15-point blowout of Detroit in the opening round of tournament play. The Jayhawks have Final Four dreams, but first must make it their duty not to overlook the lower ranked Boilermakers, especially after Lehigh shocked the world and knocked out Duke.

Purdue won a close one with St. Mary's, winning by 3 in a 72-69 game. Few have Purdue going very far in this tournament, but they can certainly ball. Now they have an opportunity to show that they can ball with the best of them.

Here's more on this game from SB Nation:

The Boilers advanced despite a subpar offensive outing from senior leader Robbie Hummel. Guards Terone Johnson and Lewis Jackson picked up the slack but Purdue will need to be firing on all cylinders against Kansas. The Jayhawks will have a decided front court advantage against the Boilers. Guard Tyshawn Taylor makes Kansas go but dynamic 6'10″ forward Thomas Robinson will be a tough cover for Purdue along with 7-foot center Jeff Withey.

The winner of this game will go on to face the winner of the matchup between N.C. State and Georgetown to represent the Midwest in the Sweet Sixteen.
