The top seeded University of North Carolina Tar Heels will take on the fifth ranked N.C State Wolf Pack today at 1 P.M in the ACC Semi-Finals in Atlanta, Georgia at the Philips Arena. The winner will advance to the ACC championship tomorrow.

There's a reason that UNC was the pre-season number one – and they've shown why lately, especially last Saturday when they beat Duke by 18 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Harrison Barnes is playing as well as he ever has, and Tyler Zeller is a force down low that makes UNC a tough challenge for anyone to contend with.
The NCAA tournament starts on Tuesday of next week with preliminary games in Dayton, Ohio. The real tournament starts on Thursday at lunchtime. The top seeds in the NCAA tournament are likely to be Syracuse, Kentucky, North Carolina and Kansas.

If NC State wants to be certain it hears its name called on Sunday evening, the Wolfpack have the opportunity to accomplish that today.
All they need to do is snap a 12-game losing streak to rival North Carolina on Saturday in the ACC semifinals. The top-seeded Tar Heels swept the season series yet again this year, winning by 19 in Chapel Hill and by 12 in Raleigh.
A 13th consecutive loss to North Carolina won't necessarily doom NC State to the NIT, but it will make for an anxious wait until 6 p.m. EST on Sunday, especially with possible bid thieves lurking in the Atlantic 10 and Conference USA. Below is my take on the bubble picture as it stands entering Saturday's action.
It's clearly a must win for both teams, but N.C. State seems to be fighting for a bit more. A win against a team that has had your number would do much for the Wolfpack's confidence should they go on to play tomorrow.
